Personal data protection notice
Version 2026-1 — draft to be approved before publication.
Controller and purposes
The Kurdish Institute of Paris Foundation, 106 rue La Fayette, 75010 Paris, processes submitted information and documents to receive applications, check eligibility, assess and decide scholarship awards, communicate with applicants, provide administrative follow-up and prevent errors or misuse.
Data and mandatory information
Processing covers contact and identity details, family and residence situation, academic and professional history, languages, references, publications, study plans, declared financial circumstances and required evidence. Mandatory items are necessary for assessment.
Legal basis
Assessment is necessary for steps taken at the applicant’s request before a possible award and, depending on the Institute’s documented qualification, its legitimate interest in administering the programme. Retention for a future application is based on separate, optional and withdrawable consent.
Recipients
Data is accessible only to authorised staff of the Kurdish Institute of Paris and, when necessary, authorised members of the French ministry responsible for Education. Technical providers act only on documented instructions.
Retention
Applications remain active during the campaign and until a decision. With consent, an unsuccessful application may be retained for no more than 24 months after the campaign; otherwise only for the necessary administrative period. Beneficiary records may be retained during the scholarship and for the configured, justified period afterwards.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure or restriction, object where applicable, and withdraw consent to future retention. Contact: bourse@fikp.org. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
Security and transfers
Access is authenticated, passwords are hashed, documents are restricted to PDF and stored in the database, and access is logged. No transfer outside the European Economic Area should occur without appropriate safeguards.
